Steve Minnikin is a long time Chatsworth local, having grown up in Carina and now living in Belmont.
With strong local ties, Steve and his wife call Chatsworth home and have raised their family here. Steve has an intimate knowledge of Chatsworth and understands the issues that matter to the local community.

Prior to entering Parliament, Steve was involved in the retail property industry. As a businessman, Steve understands the need to invest in infrastructure to help grow our economy and create jobs.
Serving as an Assistant Minister and now Shadow Minister, Steve has the experience to deliver results for Chatsworth locals.
Steve’s experience in business and State Parliament allows him to protect our local environment and lifestyle.
Steve has a proven track record of delivering for our local community. He has successfully advocated for Gumdale State School’s completed Master Plan, effectively advocated for the completion of the Camp Hill State Infant’s and Primary outside school hours care building and delivered the Carindale Park’n’Ride within months of being elected in 2012.
Listening to locals, Steve has also delivered better roads and public transport for the suburbs delivered more than $4 Million of improvements for local sporting clubs and community groups.
Understanding the value of a good education for our kids, Steve has fought hard and secured funding to air condition classrooms at Camp Hill State Infants and Primary School.
He is now fighting to upgrade the building facilities at the Belmont State School.
